This morning I was opening up a pomegranate to bring some seeds to snack on at work and I thought, why not take a holiday night off and make a fun Pomegranate Cocktail?

Here are some delightful recipes...yum, don't they sound good?
Mulled Pomegranate Punch
1 cup pomegranate liqueur
4 lemons, sliced
2 oranges, sliced
1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
12 whole cloves
4 cinnamon sticks
2 cups sugar
1 1/4 cup water
2 bottles red wine (Zinfandel or Pinot Noir)
Before a party, put everything into a crockpot and mix well. Leave it on low throughout your party. If you don’t own a crockpot, warm everything in a saucepan, mix well, and leave it low. Be careful not to serve the cloves or cinnamon sticks.
Pomegranate Cosmo
Handful of ice cubes
5 parts Citron Vodka
1 part Lime Juice
1 part Triple Sec or Cointreau
1 part Pomegranate Juice
Combine everything in a cocktail shaker and give it a good shake. Strain and serve in a martini glass garnished with a twist of lime.
Pomegranate Sangria
1 bottle of red wine
12 oz Pomegranate Juice
1 cup of brandy
1 cup of orange liqueur (cointreau of grand marnier)
1 orange, sliced
1 apple, sliced
1 lime, sliced
12 ounces of club soda
Wash and slice the apple, orange, lime. Mix the wine, brandy, orange liqueur, pomegranate juice, and fruit. Chill overnight to let flavors deepen. Just before serving, add your chilled club soda to make it sparkle.
Pomegranate Mojito
2 tablespoons sugar
1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
12 mint leaves
6 tablespoons white rum
1/4 cup pomegranate juice
1/8-1/4 fluid ounce soda water
Combine the sugar, lime juice and mint leaves in a tall glass then mash them with the back of a spoon. Mix in the rum and pomegranate juice. Pour the whole mess into a tall glass filled with ice and top it off with a splash of soda water.
Pomegranate Mimosa
1/2 oz. Pomegranate Juice
1 glass champagne
1/2 oz. Cointreau
Pour your champagne into a flute. Add the pomegranate juice and float the Cointreau on top. Perfect for New Years!
Eat, Drink, and Be Merry! That's what the holiday's scream right?
